Camillus Ti Marlin Spike

The Camillus 18589 is a new generation of the Camillus 695. The knife was made after the 2007 demise of the original Camillus factory. Acme United has the knives made in Mainland China. The blade and spike are made with AUS8 Japanese steel featuring a Carbonitride Titanium coating . According to Camillus the "blades are 10x harder than untreated steel and will stay sharper for a longer period of time, while resisting rust, stains and corrosion.". The Marlin Spike locks with the bail using the CUDA® and Lev-R-Lok® lines of quick-action blade knives. It has a liner lock blade. Action of both the blade and spike are smooth and effortless. The lock is very positive. Overall fit in finish is excellent. The treated bamboo is exceptional and laser etching is a nice touch for quality made product. Acme Untied went to great lengths to make sure the quality of this knife met those of earlier knives made by Camillus.
