Most of the information on Rough Rider Rigging knives can be found on the entry for the RR 577 knife. I owned that one first. This is basically the same knife but with red jigged bone scales and an anchor shield. The red bone is very light, with an orange tint. I'm not too crazy about the color. Had I not been able to get it for a half its retail price I probably wouldn't have bought this one as I just don't like the color of the bone. It looks like cheap plastic because it is too shiny. I would like to see this anchor shield on a white bone or nice wood handle (perhaps teak).

Enough griping. I'm sure some people like the scales on this knife. They may grow on me. All in all it is still a solid well made knife; typical of the Rough Rider brand. The anchor shield is a nice touch.
